Festival du bien être: slacklining for balance

The Festival of the Five Senses, which takes place every year at the Courchevel aquatic center, invites participants to try out different activities in the heart of nature. The festival combines relaxation, well-being and slacklining. From sylvotherapy sessions to soothing handpan concerts and slackline introductions, every moment is designed to reconnect body and mind. How can slacklining help you relax?

Slacklining helps you learn to refocus and find your balance. It has an effect on both physical and mental balance. Trying to walk on a wire requires concentration and resembles a form of meditation in motion. It's the body that moves, and it's the mind that calms. You think of nothing but trying to take the next step and keep your balance. Slackline teaches us to focus on our bodies and the present moment, and thus indirectly to free ourselves from stress.
The slackline initiations were a huge success at the festival, because unlike other workshops, they combine movement with well-being.

A slackline show in the heart of nature to close the 5 senses festival

Slackline workshops for children and parents

On the Courchevel lawn, the initiations attracted children and parents alike. It's an opportunity for families to spend time together and learn a new discipline. The workshops allow everyone to progress at their own pace.Learning to slackline also encourages the development of self-confidence and perseverance. Parents particularly appreciate these moments shared with their children, in a natural setting.

A highline show to close the festival

At the end of the day, to close the festival, a highline show was organized. Salomée Chollet, our slackliner, crossed an 80 m long line above the festival-goers. She wore a microphone to put on an interactive show. The audience was able to ask questions, and the children, particularly fond of this format, took the opportunity to ask her questions: was she afraid of falling, why wasn't she wearing shoes, and what was the longest slackline she'd ever covered? The festival of the five senses ended with this slackline show, accompanied by a concert.

The festival combined relaxation, nature and movement in its various activities. The slackline initiations fitted in perfectly with the event, and the highline show brought the day dedicated to well-being to a close.
